The Gnomon Workshop, Is the industry leader in professional training for artists in the entertainment and design industries. Founded by Alex Alvarez in 2000, The Gnomon Workshop was launched as a means to share professional techniques with artists who could not attend the hands-on courses offered at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood, California. Gnomon Workshop also has monthly Image Challenge contests for its web community. With 2 challenge types each month 2d and 3d, The winners from each type receives the following, First place winner will receive 25 DVDs, second place 15 DVDs, third place 10 DVDs and fourth place 5 DVDs to choose from the Gnomon Workshop Catalog.
